A Minute Past Midnight

That is the time I will have the final book in the Harry Potter series in my possession. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

My plan this weekend is to enter a “magic” cave and read. Read. READ.

Knowing all the A-holes that like to spoil things for fans, I will not be online reading ANYTHING this weekend.

I have to admit that although I have been waiting for this book (with everyone else) for what seems forever, I am sad that this day has come. I was not a book reader at all until I started reading the first HP. Now I read each night although not much since I fall asleep easily.

Are you planning to get the book tonight? Did you order it from Amazon? I am curious to know.

George-
My book will be delivered by amazon tomorrow. I will hold off reading it until I head to the Boundary Waters on Monday. Friends and I will read it aloud while camping. I can't wait. I'm also avoiding tv, radio, and internet stuff about H.P.
Enjoy it!

I ordered it from Amazon! I don't know how, but I suspect it will be finished before church on Sunday morning (although I might be asleep in my seat afterwards!)

Speaking of spoilers, a "friend" of mine on myspace changed their name to something that could be a spoilers (I'm certainly not researching it to find out) and then posted a bulletin about something random, so it was right there. UGH! Since I don't know if it's true or not, I think I'll be ok, though!

Mine will be delivered by Amazon tomorrow. But it will be delivered to my work's mailroom - that chose this Saturday of all Saturdays to close for renovation. I think I might sit outside and wait for the truck - from 9 to noon. Is that excessive?

I will be at the local Borders with Numbers One and Two Sons at midnight. We are also getting the book on CD so we can listen on the way home! Then I will read all night, passing off the book to Number One Son around noon...

I wonder if there will be a decrease in attendance for movies, shopping, etc on Saturday because everyone (who counts) will be at home reading?

I ordered from Amazon but I'm wishing now that I hadn't. I've gone to get the latest release at midnight and it's fun, it adds to the excitement.

I can't wait to read this and I, too, will be reading no reviews and watching nothing about HP on TV until I'm finished.

I feel the same way you do, George - I'm anxiously awaiting this, but getting it is going to be a bit bittersweet.

My friend Erika is trying her hardest to find somewhere that she can buy the book here. She is dying...its pretty funny...its really all she can talk about.

George,
I have 2 books on pre order at Barnes and Noble to be picked up tomorrow. We might just go to Sam's club and pick up the two copies since we need to take the dogs to the hair dressers. I need to finish another book first. It is a rule of mine can't have 2 books going at once unless one is a bathroom only book.

We bought it and my partner's finished it already. Now it's my turn, but I'm going to save it for tomorrow when I'll have some time for myself.

Ordered three copies (for four readers) of it from Amazon for Saturday delivery. Two of us have finished it already.

i got mine at a midnight madness event and read all weekend until it was done. i haven't been online at all in case someone spoiled it for me. I'd love to discuss it once you're done.

We ordered it from Amazon, then went away to Rhode Island for the weekend (somewhat poor planning). So I ended up queueing outside a large store until 12:30 AM on Saturday only to realize we'd be there until at least 1:30 AM. So we went to bed and picked up a copy for our niece on Saturday morning.

We're up to about page 76. And it's got a FAST pace. But we're reading slowly so it kind of balances itself out.
