Four C's

Cramping

So my wife’s grandmother is still in the hospital but they do not think she has anything major (besides diabetes) going on. Unfortunately she is learning about all of the prepackaged crap that comes with Diabetes like poor circulation, neuropathy, and pain. She keeps having terrible muscle cramps which make it almost impossible to get around. I have always hated how so much is “because you have diabetes” and not something that can be taken care of.

Conclusion

Check out the second part of my “New Endo” story on dLife.

Confirmation

One of the really good things that happened while I was away was my son’s confirmation. He had to choose a bible verse that spoke to him and not only present it to the congregation but talk a little bit about what it means to him. He chose John 11:25-26 which says, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?"

He talked about how this verse meant so much to him because he was not sure he believed it. He said, “In my short 13 years of life I have had many people I love die and I always questioned God’s promise of eternal life. Now I can say that I do believe and know that I will live forever in Him.”

I was so proud of him. His honesty was very revealing and yet he spoke with confidence and without fear. He simply amazes me. Below are some pictures of that day.

Coming Soon

Tomorrow is George’s 8th grade promotion. To think I am going to have a kid in high school really freaks me out! Wow! I will be sure and take pictures to share.

5th C - Congrats on the endo, the confirmation and the coming soon.
6th C - Care for your grandmother-in-law. Hopefully she receives all she needs.

Sorry to hear about your wife's grandmother. I hope things start going better for her soon.

I read your New Endo story. How cool! Hey - there's another "C".

I can tell how proud you are of young George. It is so nice to see kids make that decision on their own. That way, you know it's genuine.

I wish someone had invited me to Georgie's 8th grade promotion or even confirmation. I mean, I'm on summer vacation- I have all the time in the world. I would have come. :,(
