The past week or so I have been feeling strange. I would say the best way to describe it is very tired. Like extreme sleepiness. Not exhaustion or physical fatigue. I mean, I am ready to sleep all day long.
Just not right I guess (hence the title).
This morning my tiredness has turned into dizziness, confusion, inability to concentrate and sort of a glazed look about me. I just fell asleep in the restroom at work. The other day I fell asleep at a stop light. Luckily a nice guy behind me woke me up with his horn.
My body hurts like I am getting the flu. I have a weird pain in my chest that feels muscular but I don't know. I also have the chills like mad. I am freezing!
The weird part is I seem to have no flu systems at all. No cold. No stomach problems. I have no clue.
I want to go to the doctors but I don't even have the energy to do that.
I just want to go to sleep.

oh no! I say, call your doctor. Get some blood work done! Stay healthy before it knocks you out completely.
(Have you ever had mono?)
Feel better George!
George-
Please go see your doctor.
It really does sound like some kind of funky virus-- maybe even the beginnings of the flu.
Just go get it checked out.
Hope you're better soon...
George,
This does not sound good. Have you considered going to the emergency room? If you are not willing to do that, you should at least consider calling your physician immediately. Even though it is after hours, you can call the Physicians Exchange and ask them to have your doctor call you.
Danger, Will Robinson!
It sounds like thyroid issues to me. I felt that way about 18 months ago. Turned out my thyroid function was way out of whack. I would fall asleep driving home, I had some nasty gastro issues (and I have a cast iron stomach) and I ached like I'd been hit by a truck.
Go to the doctor!
Yikes! G-Money - you need to get that checked out man!
Skip some work to do it - that always makes it a little more justifiable...
I agree, skip work, go to doctor, do not pass begin...
hope you feel better real soon!
I'm with the others - go to the doctors. If you're falling asleep at stoplights, then it's important you get it checked out. It may be nothing but that doesn't sound right to me.
G, have you ever had sleep apnea? Maybe you're not getting the quality sleep you need - I have two co-workers who had severe fatigue.
In any case, it's better to nip it in the bud than wait until you crash.
Take care.
