“Making Sense of Diabetes” – This is an awesome project. You should check it out and get involved. Here’s the deal in a nutshell.
To enter the “Making Sense of Diabetes” contest, anyone with diabetes over the age of 18 is asked to record and submit to MakingSenseofDiabetes.org a video (up to three minutes run time) that demonstrates life with diabetes through one of the five senses. The online video submission should express creativity and originality, be truthful, and convey emotion in a compelling, evocative and personal way.
Each week submissions about different senses will be accepted. (all times are PST)

SECOND (and on the flipside)
“No D-Day!”
Tomorrow the plan is to not tweet, blog, or even chat about the D. Not that it doesn’t matter. Not that it should be ignored. There is a lot more to us then a disease and for one day a year, I think we should focus outwardly about those other things.
Every October 1st is going to be “No D-Day” for me from now on. If you decided to blog about anything but diabetes tomorrow, please use this pic at the top of your post so it can quickly be identified as No D-Day post! (I think the hashtag should be #nodday on twitter)
Thank you to all of those who jumped on board. I think it goes to show that we all need a break.
Can't wait for tomorrow AND to hopefully see your submission to MSoD!
