Since this Saturday is World Diabetes Day and November is National Diabetes Awareness month, it is fitting that this video is featured today.

The Making Sense of Diabetes video contest that ran during the month of October has been completed and a FANTASTIC compilation video was put together. I am very proud to announce that the video Scott and I made won for the week we submitted so there are clips from it in this video. In fact, below this video is a list of the all the winners.

I have always been a fan of cool gymnastic type stunts. Often I have posted videos of people doing cool flips and tricks and generally pushing their bodies to turn in twist in ways I could have never imagined.

This video gives you a glimpse at what doing cool flips on a trampoline feels like. Dizzy is the best word to use.

Watch with caution, I had to hold onto my desk as I watched this so I would not fall over.

This is a Two for Tuesday kind of a day. And it's double the Ninja so double the fun! Wait, that makes no sense at all.

Anyhow, my sister Anna told me to search good old You Tube for my high school and see what I could find. Lo and behold I found a couple of SWEET clips from when I was drum major my senior year.

This first one is a little over a month after I was diagnosed (and do I look like I was type 2 at the time?) and my first parade of the year since I missed the first 2 due to the D. Damn the D!

That performance was one of the best days of

my high school career.

Maybe even the very best!

After a year of missing so much school, being in and out of the doctors office and trying to

understand what this disease was all about,

It was good to do something that proved to

myself that the D would not hold me back.

I hope you all had a great Labor Day weekend. I had a lot of fun and am not ready for it to end but oh well.

This clip is of a band my friend from church is in. He is playing lead guitar and when he told me to check out this clip I was worried. I don't understand music today. Those wacky kids and their noise (I am old huh?). Anyhow I really liked it and I hope you do too.

I think I have also had a few marriage proposal clips. This one is pretty cute. I proposed to my wife using a box of Cracker Jacks and her ring was the prize, or I was.

First off I should tell you that I went back to work yesterday and did pretty good all day. Not a lot of pain so I am happy about that.

Second I should tell you that this weeks clip is another Infomercial type of clip. But very fitting. In fact, I was supposed to be in this one but my footage ended up on the cutting room floor.

We had a fun filled weekend which was part of the reason I was not around online very much.

On Saturday we went to a Luau at our friends house to celebrate many June birthdays. It was a great time with great food and great friends. Yeah, it was great.

One really cool thing was this water slide that was at the party. I must get one of these for my backyard.
