I went this morning to have a follow-up appointment with Dr. F-Bomb. He looked at all of the paperwork from the hospital, pressed around on my stomach (in my head, the Jell-O song was playing **watch it wiggle, see it jiggle), and said, “My guess is that it’s Pancreatitis. Pretty common with diabetes. I will give you a lab slip to get some blood drawn. We will start there and see.”
Darn it! No F-Bombs today.
Okay, I am glad I am not dying. Truly I am but really, this whole package deal with diabetes really pisses me off. It just seems like such a cop out. Sore foot? Diabetes. Headache? Diabetes. Blind? Diabetes. Leaky roof? Diabetes. I apologize for the random rant but sometimes stiff like that just comes pouring out.
So there it is.
I have an appointment tomorrow with a podiatrist (my first in a very very long time) so before that I plan to hit the lab and give them some blood.
He also reminded me that I am due for an ophthalmology appointment.
Lovely.

LOL, the Jell-o song! I was waiting for you to giggle like the pillsbury guy. Well, it sounds like you are on your way to getting everything taken care of. hahaha you go in for your tummy and get told you need to go to the eye doctor. (Sorry, I found that amusing.)
ROFL!!! Dude - you are too much sometimes!!!! HAHA!!!
I hear you on the diabetes thing. I mean, just because you have diabetes, doesn't mean it's automatically pancreatitis (what the hell is that anyways?!).
I had to chuckled because I TOTALLY forgot about the F-Bomb thing...
LOL!!! ROF!!!
I am glad that things are getting started, and soon you will be back to your good ol self!!
luv ya
oh man, i'm sorry to hear about more trouble with your pancreas. i agree with the diabetes thing too. what's worse is when you see a random non-endo/internal med doctor. i broke my wrist last month and the ER/ortho guys seemed to be more concerned about the fact that i took insulin than my wrist! go figure. diabetes is always the culprit...

Why is it that most of our waking hours are spent 1)stalling to make an appointment; 2)having made the appointment and then dreading to go; 3)having had the appointment and waiting for results; 4) then stalling to make the next appointment?............
Despite the fact that you aren't feeling well, you still make me laugh, SuperGeorge. The bit about the leaky roof had me giggling at my desk.
I hope you're feeling better soon. :)
Yeah, you got me going at leaky roof as well!!
Feel better soon, George.
