Ever since Kerri announced that today would be “Type 1 Awareness Day” I have been thinking about how I could participate.
I have wanted to do this for quite some time so with a little help from Photoshop and a lot of guidance from my kids I am proud to introduce…

After all the great compliments I heard about the shirts I made for the ADA walk last year I thought it would be a good idea to make some of those available. I only have a few things up as of right now but I hope to add some more sweet Ninja gear soon.
My goal is to come up with shirts that say, “I have this disease but it does not have me!” I also want to make sure the designs are “cool” enough for kids and teens to want to wear too. My son asked, “Would it be wrong of me to wear one of those shirts? They look SICK (which means good apparently)!”

I also want to make stuff for those of you who have a child or spouse with Diabetes.
The more ways we can keep Diabetes on the minds of people the sooner it will be recognized as the epidemic it is. I want to help do that with these items. That is part of my plan.
I was hoping to have this up already so maybe I could be wearing one today but it took me a while to get the logo the way I wanted it. I am a sort of a dork like that.
